The accused, identified as Mohammad Husain, son of Mohammad Mustafa Siddiqui from Ahmedabad, Gujarat, had been staying in a lodge adjacent to the jewellery shop for a week prior to the incident. According to the SP, the suspect used a gas cutter to cut through the iron bars of a third-floor window of the shop before entering and stealing gold items.
